As a movelo destination, we offer you a well-developed route network. By e-bike you can reach the most beautiful mountains with less effort or take a leisurely ride around glittering lakes. This makes it even easier for you to explore the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena.

Zugspitz Bike will also be happy to deliver your bike to your home and pick it up again by arrangement (fees: 15 per route for up to 4 bikes).

You will find a very special spot in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena with us in Biberwier: the Loisach springs! Due to the strong colouring of individual algae, the springs shine particularly shimmering and intense – a popular photo motif for our guests.

In a few minutes within easy walking distance, directly at the valley station of the Marienbergbahn, you will find Tyrol’s longest summer toboggan run (for a fee)! Conquer the 1,300 meters in length, 40 curves and 1 tunnel passage!

Traditional mountain fires
An annual highlight in early summer: the traditional mountain fires on the summer solstice set the mountains of the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena ablaze with more than 10,000 fireplaces – and amaze visitors.
Culture & Traditions
Since the tradition is an important part of the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena, there are many traditions and festivals that are celebrated and that you can also experience. In Biberwier you can enjoy the evening from our house. take a leisurely walk to the village park and on a balmy summer evening enchants the sounds of the versatile brass band Biberwier listen to the weekly “square concert” in the music pavilion (in case of bad weather in the community hall).

In summer, numerous hiking trails entice you to discover the surrounding impressive mountain massifs. Of course, you can explore the landscape yourself, but if you like to join a guided hike, the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena even offers you various hikes free of charge with your valid guest card!
For example, the Silberleithe mountain hike (moderately difficult hike to the dilapidated mine tunnels, duration approx. 5 hours) or the impressive llama hike.

Our themed trail: the Beaver Trail
A remarkable little beaver guides hikers of all ages through its home of Biberwier. The history of the place is illustrated through the topics of mining, water, energy and the old Roman road Via Claudia . A stop at the minting station is a must for those who want to take home a special souvenir. From the village park, the adventure trail leads around and through the village of Biberwier on 10 exciting stations.

Another extraordinary experience is offered to you on a hike to the three beautifully glittering Bieberwier alpine lakes: Mittersee, Weißensee and Blindsee. Dare to take a dip in the cool water – also to one of the most popular excursion destinations by bike: our Heiterwangersee !
